About Us

Cúchonaill (roughly pronounced "Koo-kun-eyl") was established as a web design enterprise in June 2007 by Conall Ó Murchadha. Conall first began programming computers at age fifteen on a Commodore 64. After formally studying programming in college, he began to work as a professional software engineer in 1991. Since then, his work has almost always involved computers, be it programming, graphics or teaching. Among other things, he has worked as a web developer with Smartforce (now Skillsoft) and as a third-level teacher in Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge, a department of NUI Galway.

In 2004, Conall began working for Decapod.tv which sells stock footage of Irish and European marine wildlife online. With Decapod.tv, he continued working as a web developer producing the extensive Decapod.tv website. He also began designing with Macromedia Flash which is mainly used to produce animation for web pages, though it can also be used to produce entire websites among other things.

Conall is now working as an independent graphic and web designer under the new registered business name. He is based in Spiddal, Co. Galway in the west of Ireland.
